About Colombia Travel & Adventure
Colombia Travel & Adventure started in Bogotá in 2022, organizing outdoor trips with local hosts and guides: mountain biking in Cucunubá, climbing in Suesca, ATV rides and páramo hikes around the Neusa reservoir, and wellness weekends with yoga by the water.
Those trips taught us that the best experiences in Colombia are run by the people who live there: the family that built a glamping site above a reservoir, the climbers who know every route in Suesca, the team that turned a forest reserve in Palomino into a retreat.
So we changed how we work. We don’t operate tours. We write honest guides about the places we know, and when you’re ready to go, we introduce you to the host. You book with them directly and they pay us a commission.
Who writes this guide
I’m Daniel Saraga, and I live in Bogotá. I’m not a tour guide. I’m a traveler: I’ve explored a good part of the world and of Colombia, and over the years I’ve helped many groups travel around the country and get the most out of every experience, by finding them the right place and the right local people.
I’ve also trained in meditation, breathwork and yoga, which is why wellness gets as much attention here as adventure. I write and check every page on this site, and I only recommend places I know.
